- Membership runs from October through September
- Purchasing a membership in Northern Lights Arts Council enables the council to continue to finance arts events in Cavalier County and the surrounding communities
- Memberships provide matching funds needed to apply for grants
- Memberships finance events where no admission is charged such as the Student Art Show and the "Building Community Vitality through Arts & Heritage" Event
- NLAC is incorporated as an IRS tax-exempt, nonprofit organization
